2-BENZYLOXYPHENYLBORONIC ACID - Introduction
(2-benzyphenyl) boronic acid is an organic boron compound with the chemical formula C13H13BO3.
Nature:
-Appearance is a white crystalline solid;
-Soluble in polar organic solvents such as ethanol, dimethyl ketone and tetrahydrofuran;
-Low solubility in water;
-Aromatic.
Use:
- (2-benzylloxyphenyl) boronic acid is an important intermediate in organic synthesis and is widely used in metal-catalyzed reactions;
-Mainly used to construct carbon-carbon bonds and carbon-boron bonds, such as as substrates in Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reactions;
-can also be used for the synthesis of various organic compounds, such as drugs, pesticides and photoelectric materials.
Method:
- (2-benzylloxyphenyl) boronic acid can be prepared by the reaction of anisole and triphenylphosphinene boronic acid under alkaline conditions;
-Another commonly used preparation method is obtained by reacting p-nitroanisole and triphenylphosphino chloroform under alkaline conditions.
